Studio Kristina Wißling created a custom-made paper set design for the Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank. The paper installation was first shown at the Medica and later at the Expopharm fair in Düsseldorf.
The installation for the exhibition stand showed a metamorphosis of different folding steps, from the originally uncut sheet of paper to the completely folded figure of a crane into a three-dimensional form.
The cranes with different wing spans of 50 cm, 0.70 cm, 1.00 m, 1.45 m and then up to a diameter of 1.70 m were folded by hand and arranged on a specially manufactured ceiling covering and hung at different heights. Flame retardant paper was used, which was also printed in the corporate identity colours of the Deutsche Ärzte- und Apothekerbank.
At the end of the fair, the exhibited large-format paper objects were raffled to participants in form of a competition.
In addition, origami folding instructions in form of vector illustrations, paper objects for a booklet and hand-folded traditional origami as give-aways for customers were created. More information about the project can be found here.
