FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ARE THE SHAPES DIFFICULT?
Our origami and introduction to paperfolding workshops include shapes that look beautiful and complex but are simple to learn, with clear folding instructions and a little patience. The practical workshops are run at a pace suited to the participants so that no one feels rushed and it is a relaxing experience. If you would like to book a series of workshops, Kristina can teach more advanced shapes over time as the participants build up their skill level.
HOW LONG ARE THE WORKSHOPS?
We can customize the event to meet your requirements but group sessions are typically between 1-2,5 hours. It is also possible to organize workshops for a half or full day where a few hundred people stop by for 5-15 mins to learn one or two shapes at an event. We can also create a series of events where participants progress each week/ month to make more complex folding structures. This is particulary popular with corporates where teams attend a block of paper engineering workshops.
WHAT MATERIALS DO WE NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
Kristina provides all materials required for the workshops. We use matt high quality japanese papers in a range of different colours, luxury pearlescent papers, as well as scissors, glue, creasing tools and rulers where required. If you have a particular theme or colour scheme for the event, we are happy to tailor the colour scheme to fit. As an optional extra, we can prepare material kits for the participants to take away from the workshop so they can continue their creativity at home.
