The first Limited Edition of Giclee Fine Art Prints - featuring Kristina Wißling`s Origami X Geometry Series. The "Origami X Geometry" series was inspired by geometric formations and spirals and constructed by using origami software and computer-controlled scoring techniques. The Giclee Fine Art Prints are available in two different sizes and as a Mini Print Edition.
Edition Details:
- Limited Edition. Once sold, the work will never be reproduced.

THE DESIGNER
Kristina Wißling works within the increasingly nebulous space between art and engineering. As a origami engineer and designer, Wißling´s work is rooted in exhibition design, print media, art and commercial design, though she frequently finds herself in collaborating with a cadre of scientists and researchers who are just now recognizing the practical connections between paper folding and folding in industrial applications.
As an graduate of FH Dortmund, Wißling divides her time between giving talks and workshops on the traditional artform origami in art and design and their applications in industry to different target groups ranging from students at art colleges to aerospace and automotive companies, and creating some of the most inspiring paper art around.
Wißling began creating monumental paper art in 2008. Folding a Leopard III tank with Frank Boelter - a project funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation. A dozen German Army soldiers took on the task of creating the Leopard III from just two pieces of paper in 20*20 or 20*10 meter format. Her second monumental origami with artist Frank Boelter - a Large Format Paper Racing Car on a scale of 1:1 was exhibited at the Kunsthalle Mainz.
Of her work, she writes: "In my studio I am a collaborator, explorer and inventor. I begin with a system of folding and at a particular moment the material takes over."

Fine Art Prints with Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 g is a white cotton paper that weighs 308 grams and impresses with its characteristic, pleasantly soft feel, a gently pronounced felt structure and a fine, non-slip surface. Due to the outstanding properties of this noble paper, the fine art prints are particularly impressive with their color depth and brilliant color reproduction and meet the highest demands.
In addition to the prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 g, some editions are printed on Photo Rag Baryta 315 g. These differ from each other in terms of different grammages, structures and degrees of whiteness.

Age Resistance
The limited edition prints, for which the high-end paper Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 g is used, impress with their brilliant colours, a deep black, with captivating contrasts and perfect reproduction of details. The combination of the properties of the artist paper and the matt premium inkjet coating ensures an elegant glaze without reflecting. The prints on the acid- and lignin-free paper meet the highest requirements for age resistance. The prints can be around 100 years old without loss of quality.
